This is a super interesting perspective! I was also very skeptical of Clubhouse at first, however, I have grown to like it. I think the interface could be improved (it feels a bit gimmicky), but I have heard some extremely interesting conversations on the app. It is also refreshing to be able to participate in social media without staring at a screen all day.

All that being said, I am curious what will happen when Clubhouse tries to monetize the platform. Part of the appeal now is that it feels very authentic and a place where people can speak their minds. How do you monetize an audio-only platform that is not pre-recorded? If you think about the way podcasts are monetized, it is through sponsorships that the podcast host talks about during the podcast itself. If these types of "commercials" are brought into Clubhouse, the authenticity disappears.
